Christina Aguilera on Britney Spears’ memoir
Britney Spears had completed her memoir The Woman in Me before her split from now ex-husband Sam Asghari, sources told Us Weekly.
The 41-year-old singer is now contemplating a second book to detail the dissolution of their relationship.
Insiders say Spears is not intent on attacking Asghari in her next work but rather seeks to explore the causes of their breakup.
The couple, who tied the knot in June 2022 after a five-year relationship, parted ways when Asghari, 29, filed for divorce 14 months later.
Spears, who announced their split on Instagram, expressed her surprise at the end of the six-year relationship, stating it was a personal matter.
During the relationship, Spears had praised Asghari in her memoir, calling him a gift from God and celebrating their strong initial chemistry.
The Grammy winner, who has two sons with former spouse Kevin Federline, had previously lauded Asghari’s support, especially during her miscarriage earlier in 2022.
Asghari, for his part, has shown support for Spears’ literary success, which includes the celebrity memoir’s record-breaking sales.
“That made me smile, to be honest,” the actor told a paparazzo shortly after the book was released.
“I’m freakin’ proud of her, and I hope she takes over the world.”
