BBC Strictly star Angela Scanlon red-faced as she drops huge spoiler about final

Strictly Come Dancing’s Angela Scanlon accidentally drops spoiler

Angela is set to return to the ballroom with her professional dance partner Carlos Gu for their last dance. She and Carlos, 30, were booted off last month – becoming the ninth celebrity to exit. She narrowly missed out on the quarter-finals when Layton Williams was saved.

The BBC star last night spoke to Amy, 33, ahead of the finale. The latter is taking time out as a pro following her cancer diagnosis, announcing last month she had completed eight rounds of chemotherapy in a bid to tackle the disease.

Fans will get a chance to see the celebrities who were voted off once again and Angela appeared excited as she let slip the routine she would be doing.

As soon as she confessed that she would be dancing a Charleston, it quickly dawned on her that she may have said too much. Angela covered her mouth, stating: “Oh sorry, am I not allowed to say that?”

To which she replied: “I can’t wait! Also, I love that everyone is getting to do one of their favourite little moments so for myself and Carlos, we’re doing Charleston…”

Suggesting Angela should not have told Amy what dance she’d be doing, she was quick to point out the big reveal.

Amy said: “Little spoiler there, little spoiler!”

She went on to add: “Anyway, you heard it here first! Yeah, so I can’t wait, absolutely very excited to get the old Charleston hat back on!”

Fans were sad to see Angela go, despite head judge Shirley Ballas saving her.

Although Motsi Mabuse, Anton Due Beke and Craig Revel Horwood all decided to save Layton.

Since then Shirley, 63, has spoken out and said she felt there were “a lot of elements missing” from Layton’s American Smooth.

None of the judges’ scores will count towards their overall place in the competition.

Strictly Come Dancing: The Final starts at 7pm, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
