Ariana Grande has officially filed for divorce from her husband of two years, Dalton Gomez – according to reports.
The 30 year old Thank U, Next singer is reported by US news outlet TMZ to have filed her divorce papers at the same time as her ex.
She is represented by celebrity lawyer, Laura Wasser, who cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the divorce.
Ariana is thought to currently be dating – and living with – new beau Ethan Slater, her co-star in the much-anticipated two-part adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked.
Ethan filed for divorce from his wife Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a son, two months ago.
OK! has contacted Ariana Grande's reps for comment.
The fact that Dalton filed for divorce straight after Ariana suggests that the pair had ironed out their plan prior.
TMZ reports that Ariana will 'cut Dalton a check' and they will both move on.
A source told the publication that Ariana and Dalton "have been really caring and respectful of one another every step of this process."
Their official date of separation has been listed as 20 February, 2023.
Given that Ariana is one of the world's biggest pop stars, it won't come as a surprise to many that she and Dalton had an iron-clad prenup in place.
It was recently reported by US Weekly that Dalton did not foresee the split from his wife and, throughout this trying period, has been leaning on the unwavering support from his circle of loved ones.
The insider familiar with the situation began by shedding light on Dalton's state of mind. "It's been a little while since Ariana and Dalton split, but he's been adjusting to his new normal and learning to accept it for what it is," they shared. T
he sources indicated that Dalton had never foreseen a parting of ways from the Bang Bang songstress, as he had assumed they would be together forever.
Ariana and Dalton were first linked in February 2020 after being spotted sharing a kiss at a Los Angeles bar.
This marked the start of a whirlwind romance that led to their engagement in December of the same year.
They married in an intimate wedding ceremony in May 2021 in Montecito, California.
Rumours started flying that their pair had split over the summer, after Ariana was spotted without her wedding ring whilst sitting in the crowds at Wimbledon.
