Miriam Margolyes says she has previously turned down chances to appear on Strictly Come Dancing and I\u2019m A Celebrity\u2026 Get Me Out Of Here!<\/p>\n

The 82-year-old made the revelations during a recent recording of Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett\u2019s award-winning podcast, Dish from Waitrose.<\/p>\n

After chatting about her book, Oh Miriam! Stories from an Extraordinary Life, the Harry Potter actor revealed that both BBC and ITV bosses had come knocking.<\/p>\n

\u201cI only wrote it because they offered me a lot of money,\u201d Miriam admitted. \u201cThat\u2019s true, that\u2019s absolutely true.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, when you\u2019re old and you know that your earning potential is diminishing, you\u2019ve got to get the money while you can.<\/p>\n

\u201cI won\u2019t do that, what do you call it? The dancing thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nick, 39, pointed out that the show that the star was referring to was Strictly, before Angela, 55, asked: \u201cStrictly. They asked you to do that a few times?\u201d<\/p>\n

Miriam replied: \u201cYeah, they must have been f*****g nuts. And they asked me to go in the jungle.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if passing on I\u2019m A Celeb\u2026 was a \u201chard no\u201d, the author said: \u201cI\u2019ve got class, love. I\u2019m not doing that\u201d.<\/p>\n

She further claimed that instead of competing for the Glitterball Trophy and taking part in the Bushtucker Trials, she had decided to get cracking on her memoir.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought, \u2018I\u2019ll write a book\u2019,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
