Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian share heartfelt tributes to their father Robert Kardashian on 20th anniversary of his death: ‘Miss you’<\/h2>\n

Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian\u00a0are marking the 20th anniversary of their father’s death with heartfelt tributes.<\/p>\n

Robert Kardashian, a defense attorney who gained worldwide recognition for being apart of the legal defense team of O.J. Simpson in 1995, died from esophageal cancer at age 59 on September 30, 2003.<\/p>\n

All four of the Kardashian siblings<\/span>, which includes Kim and Rob, have all expressed having a close and loving relationship with their dad.<\/p>\n

‘I miss you, Daddy. 20 years ago today since I haven’t seen you,’ Kourtney, 44, wrote inside a photo of her father smiling and waving towards the camera.<\/p>\n

Khlo\u00e9, 39, opted for a photo-less post that read, ‘The orbs are my daddy. I miss you.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Emotional: Khloe, 39, and Kourtney Kardashian, 44, shared tributes to their father, Robert Kardashian, to mark the 20th anniversary of his death at the age of 59<\/p>\n

RIP: Robert Kardashian was 59 when passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003<\/p>\n

While Kim had not posted a public tribute at last check, she did remember her father on what would have been his 79th birthday.<\/p>\n

‘It’s almost getting to the point where I’ve had to remember you longer than I’ve known you,’ she wrote in the February 22 post that included a photo and several videos of Robert playing with his four children.\u00a0‘It’s been 20 years since we’ve celebrated your birthday here on earth. But I will take it because I had the best dad in the whole wide world and am so lucky I had 22 years with you!’<\/p>\n

The mother of four went on to share about she wishes her dad could have met all of his grandchildren: ‘God you would love them so much!’<\/p>\n

She also recalled some of the endearing qualities that helped make up her dad, before making a plea to him.<\/p>\n

‘I just really miss you and kinda need you right now. Please come to me in a dream soon,’ she shared with obvious emotion to her words.<\/p>\n

Four months later, in June, Kim honored her dad Robert and stepfather Caitlyn Jenner on Father’s Day.<\/p>\n

‘Best to ever do it! I wouldn\u2019t be me if it weren’t for you two. Thank you. Happy Fathers Day.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rob, 36, would also remember his father on his birthday on February 22, by sharing a photo of all four of the Kardashian siblings posing alongside the family patriarch.<\/p>\n

‘Happy birthdayyyy,’ he simply wrote, along with blue heart and smiley face-heart emojis.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Honoring dad: While Kim, 42, had not posted a public tribute at last check, she did remember her father on what would have been his 79th birthday this past February, where she called him the ‘best dad in the whole wide world’<\/p>\n

Dad tributes: Kim also honored her dad on Father’s Day this past June, calling him and stepfather Cailtlyn Jenner: ‘The best to ever do it’<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Missing dad: Rob Kardashian, 36, did not share a public tribute for his dad marking 20 years since his death but he has shared tributes to him over the years including his last birthday<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Close knit: All four of the Kardashian children have been sharing tributes to their father to mark his birthday’s, Father’s Day and his death<\/p>\n

Robert Kardashian was married to his children’s mother, Kris Jenner (born\u00a0Kris Houghton) from 1978 until 1991.<\/p>\n

In 1998, seven years after the divorce was finalized, he\u00a0married Jan Ashley; however, the marriage ended in annulment 30 days later.<\/p>\n

After dating for three years, the Los Angeles native married his third wife, Ellen Pierson (n\u00e9e Markowitz), six weeks prior to his death.<\/p>\n

Robert had not only been one of the lawyers for Simpson during his widely publicized murder trial, he had also been his friend for many years before the court proceedings, which ended with an\u00a0acquittal for the former football great.<\/p>\n
