More info<\/p>\n Insiders told the publication that hotel staff would reach out to Cher during his stay there to express concerns for his health.<\/p>\n \u201cVirtually every morning and afternoon Elijah could be seen in front of the hotel on the sidewalk either leaning against the wall or sitting on the sidewalk smoking,\u201d one source said.<\/p>\n \u201cHe would come out with a full cigarette and by the time he had finished it, he would be passed out.\u201d<\/p>\n Cher allegedly hired a caretaker to look out for Elijah before hotel staff found him lying face down and unconscious.<\/p>\n He was picked up and brought back inside and authorities arrived two days later to take him to rehab, sources said.<\/p>\n Believe hitmaker Cher shares Elijah with her former husband Gregg Allman and has had a troubled relationship with him and her daughter-in-law over the years.<\/p>\n Elijah previously opened up about his drug addiction in 2014, telling Entertainment Weekly: \u201cI started with drugs around the same time that we all did, around eleven.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean it’s just what you did, it’s just what everybody did.\u201d<\/p>\n Cher’s representatives did not immediately respond to the Daily Express’ request for comment.<\/p>\n
