We documented the whole journey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe created a television show, I&#8217;m not sure when it is going to go out but I&#8217;ve seen footage from the show and it looks amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> <strong> READ MORE <\/strong> <strong>Ex-Wheeler Dealers star opens up on classic car which is quicker than a Tesla<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/79\/590x\/secondary\/4961550.jpg?r=1694779894677\"><\/p>\n<p>Radford\u2019s Type 62-2 finished top of the leaderboard at the famous Pikes Peak rally in June, beating Tesla\u2019s Model S Plaid.<\/p>\n<p>Rally star and previous Pikes Peak winner Tanner Foust completed the tricky 13.5 mile course in just under 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Inside, the Radford car is built to modern specifications with a 700bhp supercharged 3.5L engine. More info<\/p>\n<p>Radford worked in collaboration with Lotus Cars to make the car look identical to the historic machine.<\/p>\n<p>The car is even completed in the UK brand&#8217;s iconic John Player Special livery used on its F1 cars in the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>Radford is owned by Anstead alongside 2009 F1 world champion Jenson Button.<\/p>\n<p>Anstead added: \u201cFor a small brand like Radford to go to the famous mountain and beat some big brands, some big OEMs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m incredibly proud of creating an international car that wins something. A trophy is important.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Tanner, who is a friend of mine, to be behind the wheel. Tanner has been a Pikes Peak champion twice before with Porsche and Subaru.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has never beaten the sub-10-minute mark.
