Ethan Hawke Directed Daughter Maya&#039;s Sex Scenes In New Movie!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ethan Hawke<\/strong> and his daughter are really &#8216;comfortable&#8217; around each other\u2026 Like, REALLY comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Academy Award<\/strong>-nominated actor is busy promoting his latest directorial feature, <em>Wildcat<\/em>, starring his real-life daughter <strong>Maya Hawke<\/strong>. The rising star, whom you may already know and love from <em>Stranger Things<\/em>,\u00a0plays American novelist <strong>Flannery O\u2019Connor<\/strong>. And it sounds like the flick took them to some pretty scandalous places.<\/p>\n<p>In a <em>Variety<\/em> cover story published on Tuesday, the father-daughter duo opened up about something that should have been really upsetting &#8212; shooting sex scenes for Maya\u2019s character! Surprisingly, they said, it wasn\u2019t awkward for them, like, at all. Ethan explained:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were so comfortable with it. I couldn\u2019t care less.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That just feels so wrong&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cw0Huqltv6a\/<\/p>\n<p>A post shared by Variety (@variety)<\/p>\n<p><p>In the two sex scenes directed by the <em>Purge<\/em> actor, his daughter simulates getting down and dirty with co-stars <strong>Cooper Hoffman<\/strong>, son of the late <strong>Philip Seymour Hoffman<\/strong>, and <strong>Rafael Casal<\/strong>. It may not have been &#8220;weird&#8221; for either of the Hawkes &#8212; but it sounds like it sure was for the men in the sex scenes. Ethan reflected while giggling and looking at Maya:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe needed to take care of Rafael and Cooper. I think it was weird for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old agreed, adding that they took necessary measures behind the scenes to make sure everyone was A-OK:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe made sure to have an intimacy coordinator on set for them. So that they felt safe and comfortable and not like they were being spied on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ethan then cut back in, adding, &#8220;by some creepy dad.&#8221; LOLz! At least he\u2019s aware of the optics of it\u2026 Still SO weird to us.
