Grammy award winning pop icon Taylor Swift was spotted attending a Kansas Chiefs American football game yesterday, adding fire to the rumours that she is dating player, Travis Kelce.
The 33 year old was pictured sitting next to Travis' mother, Donna, and was caught in a video, shared by Fox Sports, passionately cheering on the team.
The Cruel Summer singer was dressed for the occasion, too, donning a red and white outfit – the colours of the Kansas Chiefs – complete with her signature red lipstick.
"I think the secret’s out. I think we can play matchmaker and put the rumours to rest,” broadcaster Greg Olsen said upon spotting the singer cheering in the VIP box. “I think they’re officially a couple, and I think the internet is going crazy right now.”
But as Swifties everywhere go into meltdown over the new pairing, with fans dubbing the potential romance as Taylor being in her 'football era', what do we actually know about Travis Kelce?
Who is Travis Kelce?
Travis Kelce is a 33 year old American football player. A two-time Super Bowl champion – among other accolades – Travis was drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL (National Football League) Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He plays the Tight End position.
The sportsman is originally from Ohio, and attended high school in Cleveland Heights. He then went to college in Cincinnati, after accepting a scholarship offer from the University of Cincinnati.
His older brother, Jason, is also a fellow NFL player, currently serving as a centre for the Philadephia Eagles.
How long has he been with Taylor?
While it's still very early days, the rumoured relationship has been quickly gathering attention for the past couple of months. Back in July, Travis made it known he was into Taylor after he revealed he made a friendship bracelet for the singer which had his phone number on it. He planned to give it to her during her Kansas City stop of the Eras Tour.
Then, a source told The Messenger in September that "Taylor and Travis have been quietly hanging out” for months after the pair met when they were both in New York.
Just last, week, Travis also admitted he had invited Taylor to one of his games while appearing on The Pat McAfee Show. And voila, the rest is history…
Thanks to another video posted to Twitter by sports media personality Jarrett Payton, the dating speculation was seemingly confirmed further.
"Talk about being at the right place at the right time!" he captioned footage of Taylor and Travis as they left the Arrowhead stadium together, where the game took place.
Both looked in good spirits as they greeted the onlookers, with Taylor wearing the biggest grin.
