TOWIE is returning for the 30th time, yes, you read that right! And OK! was lucky enough to catch up with some of the cast as they told us all about filming the iconic show in the exotic Caribbean! For series regular Chloe Brockett, 21 – who joined the show at the age of just 19 – this is not her first brush with reality TV fame however. The star also appeared on a previous series of Celebs Go Dating where she got hot and heavy with Made in Chelsea's Miles Nazaire – but she reveals exclusively to us that the coupling up left her feeling a little uncomfortable.
Chloe said: "Me and Miles will always be friends, he’s a lovely guy. He’s so fit, but he’s very, very posh. He made me feel very common."
She also says that she likes the fact he is comfortable with his lothario reputation. "He’s a lady’s man but I love that he owns that," she tells us.
She also reveals that despite agreeing to star on Celebs Go Dating, she wasn't familiar with the format of the show and it wasn't at all what she was expecting! "I hadn’t watched it before, but my friends told me to watch a few episodes before CGD. I was shocked," she said.
Moving the conversation onto TOWIE, Chloe – who previously revealed she was so strapped for cash when she first signed up for the show that she would keep the tags on her clothes to return them after filming – says she's not as prominent in this series.
She tells us: "This series is quite different for me. I've taken a backseat."
She also says that she's made a particular effort to stay out of the drama for which TOWIE is famed. "I didn’t want to engage with people who are beneath me. I've gone past the point of screaming and shouting about absolutely anything. I didn't think there was any point in doing it. I give my opinion, I’m always honest in what I say. But I don’t have the energy to have drama with anyone."
Chloe moves on to discuss romance in the series and says there is nothing to report! "I'm single and enjoying myself," she says. Adding that she and James Lock, 35, have decided that they are better off as "friends". "There's no drama, he's a great guy and I've learnt a lot from my time with him," she says.
The Essex star also opens up about the new show House of Sims that the Sims sisters are bringing out after finding fame as cast regulars on the ITVBe show. Despite the fact that it's meant they've had to leave the show, Chloe has nothing but kind words for the girls. "It takes quite a lot to leave a show you’ve been a part of for a long time. It must be daunting. But, even though I’m not friends with them, I’m not someone who wouldn’t wish them the best with their careers. I’m actually really happy for them all."
She also says the despite the dramas and fall outs that we often see on screen, the cast are on great terms. "TOWIE is a family, and even tonight, I’m here with Liam Gatsby and Saffron Lempriere, who I’ve fallen out with, and I’m like, ‘You alright?’"
