A 11 year-old fan of Taylor Swift received a surprise gift from the singer Tuesday after the girl from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, wrote an appreciative note for American postal workers who serve the public amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
A “Thank You” letter that Emerson Weber wrote to her postman went viral after it was shared in an internal U.S. Postal Service newsletter.
The surprise news was revealed by Emerson’s father Hugh Weber on Twitter.
“There have been so many letters this week that the most unlikely scenario didn’t even occur to us,” Weber wrote.
A slip on top of the gift pack read, “To Em. From Tay.”
Hugh added that the package had the smell of “what happiness smells like.”
“And, the smell of happiness fills the room, my friends, and lingers for hours,” according to Emerson.
The gift box included a handwritten letter to Em, two shirts and a personalized wax seal to seal envelopes.
