Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Walker has treated his dance partner Nadiya Bychkova to a sweet personal Christmas gift as a lasting reminder of their dance partnership on the show.
The BBC Breakfast presenter, 44, gave his Strictly dance partner a very special Christmas gift that saw the professional dancer overcome.
Dan and Nadiya, 32, made it to the quarter finals in this year’s competition and struck up a firm friendship as dance partners.
Dan said as he was the 10 th celebrity eliminated: “I want to mention this amazing woman next to me, there are some people who walk into your life and turn some lights on, and that’s what she has done to me. You’re an amazing person, and if you’ll have me, you’ll have a friend for life Nadiya Bychkova.”
When asked if she had any words for Dan, Nadiya replied: “Like he said, sometimes the right person walks into your life at the right time and that’s what happened.
"You always encourage everyone, you always have time for everyone, it just inspires me to be a better person myself. Thank you.”
To mark the friendship Dan treated Nadiya to a personalised portrait of the two of them dancing which was surrounded by all things he ‘loves’ about Sheffield.
His hometown became home to Nadiya for a short while as she moved in with Dan and family so the pair could rehearse as much as possible.
Nadiya took to her Instagram story to gush over the special gift from her dance partner. She shared a picture of herself with the portrait and wrote: “Thank you so much for a very special gift partner @MrDanWalker I love it.”
She added: “This beautiful piece of art was made by amazing @AlanPenningtonArt.”
The pro dancer shared a second close up image of the incredible art work and captioned it: “The man is brilliant.”
She also included a red heart at the bottom of the post with a big “thank you!” inside.
Dan and Nadiya were knocked out in the quarterfinals after dancing a Tango to Santa Maria by Gotan Project.
The couple received their equal highest score of 31, but it wasn’t enough when they came up against television presenterAJ Odudu, 33 and her partner, Kai Widdrington, 26, in the dance off.

Speaking toRylanon It Takes Two, Dan spoke highly of his eleven weeks on the show.
"I've loved every dance we've done and each week has been my favourite," he said. "I told Nadiya on the Monday when she showed me the choreography, I said ‘I already love it, I can't wait to dance it on Saturday’. That was the best I've danced in my entire life, in front of 10 million people. It's a good way to go out."
