S Club 7’s Jo O’Meara shares rare snaps of son on 14th birthday alongside sweet tribute

S Club 7's Jo O'Meara gave fans a rare glimpse of how she and her son, Lenny, spend their time together as the teenager celebrated his 14th birthday.

The singer, 43, posted a series of snaps and videos to her Instagram for her 36,000 followers to enjoy.

Jo posted a sweet boomerang to her main feed of her giving her son a little peck on the cheek for his big day.

The 14 year old proudly held is arm around his mum during the short clip.

The S Club 7 vocalist captioned the post: "Happy 14th birthday to my not so little Len !!! Hopefully he will stop growing soon [laughing face emojis]," wrote proud mum Jo in the caption.

Paying a touching tribute to her son, she added: "You mean the world to me and more darling and I love you more than the sun the moon And all the stars in the sky !! Will he kill me ???

"Yes yes he will [laughing emoji] Happy birthday Lenny [heart emojis]."

In a second snap of the pair, Jo showed off her pearly whites as she beamed with pride for the camera.

Keeping it casual, the mum-of-one wore black leggings and a plain black T-shirt. Lenny looked just as cool as his mum, rocking an all grey tracksuit.

In the background was a giant navy balloon with "happy birthday" written in gold font across the front.

Friends and followers took to the comment section to wish Lenny a happy birthday and compliment the mother-son duo.

Fellow S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens commented: "Aww happy birthday to your gorgeous boy."

Danniella Westbrook posted: "So cute happy birthday Lenny x", while another user posted: "Omg can’t believe the size of him!! Happy Birthday Lenny."

One shocked user questioned: "WHY’S HE SO BIG NOW?????" with another follower wrote: "Wow how Lenny has grown! Happy Birthday Lenny!"

Lenny's dad is Jo's ex-partner Bill Slate, who she dated for two years before giving birth to their son in 2008.

In previous interviews she has explained how things between them have "always been very easy and amicable".

Speaking to The Sun in 2021, the singer said: "We’ve always had quite a united front as far as Lenny’s concerned, and he’s a fantastic dad.

"He’s in a new relationship and he’s happy and she’s lovely – I get along with her."

Before giving birth to Lenny in 2008, Jo explained how she had chosen to keep Bill's identity private.

The couple ended up splitting up but Jo said they remained pals and co-parented their son.

The singer told People at the time: "Even though I'm classed as a single mum, I've got my family and friends and the father is going to be involved.

"I think we've made the right decision. If you stay in something that won't be happy, that's not good for the baby.

"He's going to be loved by both his parents, and he's not going to see us feuding or arguing."
