Countdown star Rachel Riley, 35, has taken to social media to issue a warning about Strictly Come Dancing star Kevin Clifton’s new West End show after attending the opening night. Rachel, who competed in the BBC dance show in 2013, attended the first performance of Singin’ In The Rain, where she enjoyed the show from the front row. But while she publicly sung its praises, she also jokingly told theatre-goers to “beware” of getting wet.
Beware if you have front row tickets

In view of her 667,000 followers, the maths whizz revealed that she thoroughly enjoyed the opening night of the classic musical.
She wrote: “Nostalgic, cheerful and charming!
“So so good @keviclifton.
“Beware if you have front row tickets,” she added alongside water drop emojis.
Fans of the star replied saying that Rachel should have been more prepared.
One wrote: “Sounds brilliant! Should’ve taken your brolly.”
Another replied: “Thanks for the tip!”
Rachel wasn’t the only celeb to make an appearance at the opening night of Kevin’s show, as Strictly’s head judge Shirley Ballas also attended the event.
Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo also watched the first performance.
Ahead of the show’s premiere, Kevin took to Instagram where he gushed over his new show.
He penned: “I feel very lucky to be onstage every night with this incredibly talented cast.
“Every single performer is the absolute top level and I watch everything they do in total awe.”
In a recent post to Instagram, Kevin told how the character of Cosmo was his “dream role”, but he was convinced he would never take to the stage in the West End classic, as he didn’t have the tap dance skills required.
He wrote: “On Christmas Day me and @sjdooley watched Singin’ In The Rain. Me for the millionth time, Stace for the 1st time.
“She recorded me here cos she could see how much I love it!” (sic)
Kevin added: “Afterwards she said, ‘I think Cosmo Brown is the perfect role for you’
“I said, ‘It would be a dream but I dont tap dance’.(sic)
“A few months later my agent called me and randomly asked what I thought about auditioning for Cosmo in Singin’ In The Rain at @sadlers_wells!!” he explained.
“So I started learning to tap. From YouTube at home and then from the amazing @ryan_gover.
“Dream come true,” Kevin added, ending the post.
