Miriam Margolyes isn’t one to hold back on her controversial thoughts and her latest interview was no different when took a fresh swipe at Boris Johnson, his Conservative party and his 81-year-old dad Stanley Johnson. The 80-year-old previously sparked Ofcom complaints over a comment she made about wanting the Prime Minister dead.
In a new interview, the actress blasted the Government as “appalling, incompetent, corrupt shower of t***s”.
She added: “I have never seen such a deplorable collection of people.”
Miriam went on to slam Boris’ dad Stanley Johnson, who she blasted as “vile”.
The actress previously said on The Last Leg that she “had difficulty not wanting Boris to die” when he was in hospital with coronavirus.
She said: “I wanted him to die, and then I thought that reflects badly on me and I don’t want to be the sort of person who wants people to die.
“So, then I wanted him to get better, which he did do, he did get better, but he didn’t get better as a human being and I really would prefer that.”
Her remarks sparked 494 Ofcom complaints, but no further action was taken.
In a U-turn of her words, she added to The Guardian this week: “Well, I don’t want him to die. But, I wouldn’t mind if he was castrated.”
Miriam and Stanley clashed during filming for The Real Marigold On Tour.
Boris’ dad took offence after she branded the Prime Minister a “p***ock” and questioned whether he dyed his hair.
She asked: “Boris looks very much like Stanley. Is that the natural colour or do you assist it?”
He replied: “Oh, for heaven’s sake! I say! If I did, I wouldn’t admit to it!”

After insisting nobody cared if it was real or natural, Stanley responded: “Well, chaps don’t do that kind of thing.”
Back in January, she criticised Boris, Donald Trump and those who oppose the coronavirus vaccination, in a rant on Good Morning Britain.
Speaking to Susanna Reid, she spilled: “Of course one must have the vaccine, those anti-vaxxers are nuts. They need their heads seen to.”
At the time, Miriam said she wasn’t jabbed, but was hoping to get it done as soon as possible.
“I’ll be 80 in May and i may be able to have it in Italy before I come [back], but I’m not coming to England until it’s safe to go,” she continued.
“You’ve got that clown in charge there that I didn’t vote for, and I’m holding him responsible.”
Miriam went on to say she “longed to see the back of” Donald Trump, whose presidency officially came to an end in January.
He was replaced in The White House by Joe Biden.
