Millie Mackintosh has been praised for her "honesty" after she shared the reason behind her breast surgery which she had earlier this year.
The former Made in Chelsea star, 33, shares two daughters, Sienna, two, and Aurelia, 18 months with husband Hugo Taylor, 37, and earlier this week opened up about her breast surgery which she said was the "best thing she's done for herself" since becoming a mum.
During a candid Instagram Q&A session on Thursday (3 August), Millie explained after breastfeeding both her children she didn't feel like herself, but the breast procedure has given her a "boost of confidence".
She went on to answer a series of questions from fans and on Sunday (6 August) took to Instagram again to share a "round up" video from the Q&A session.
Alongside the video on Sunday, she wrote the caption: "Earlier this week, I finally answered some of your questions about my recent breast surgery over on my stories. In case you missed it, here’s the round-up of the most asked questions. I really hope you find this helpful."
This led to floods of comments from fans praising the mum-of-two for her "honesty" and for answering the questions so "openly".
One wrote: "Honesty on surgery from someone in the public eye, is such a breath of fresh air! I hope more take note, glad you are feeling confident and happy with it, you look gorgeous all the time but I get it’s such a personal thing x."
A second commented: "Love your honesty and how you come across on this vid it’s really helpful. You’ve always been a beauty, I remember those first MIC episodes well!"
"Your honesty is always so refreshing Millie. It’s really appreciated", a third said.
While a fourth noted: "You look great. You don’t have to justify or explain why you had breast surgery. It’s your body and we all make modifications – big or small… including make up!"
"Thank you for your honesty Millie, it’s also really helpful", another commented. One fan wrote: "Your body, your choice. I think you look great."
"Millie thanks for your honesty and answering questions so openly. You are amazing and have helped so many women", voiced another.
When talking about the reason behind her breast surgery during the Instagram Q&A on Thursday, she openly said: "It was something that I had always wanted to do, since being about 18. When I realised that the breasts I had always dreamed of weren't going to show up for me.
"I thought. 'okay, I can work with what I've got' and I wore padded bras and I made peace with that. When I was in my twenties and I was on the pill, they were a B, but quite perky and then after breastfeeding both of the girls the skin just got so stretched."
Millie continued: "When I was breastfeeding they were enormous and when I was pregnant as well.
"Then what I was left with afterwards was a completely different, deflated, empty sack of skin that just did not make me feel like me anymore.
"Honestly for me, this has been the best thing that I have done for myself. I had my surgery just before Mother's Day and it just felt like a lovely present to myself to make me feel like me again.
"It's given me a boost of confidence. I've really enjoyed wearing swimwear again this summer and it definitely made me feel much freer.
"I've found confidence in my body again and it was just something I did for myself as a kind of reward for having babies."
