Meghan Markle’s father has expressed concerns that his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, are going to grow up without knowing they have two families – and claimed he has been told to consider legal action against Meghan and Harry so he can see them.
Meghan’s relationship with her father has been strained for many years, and the pair became particularly distant after a private letter she wrote to Thomas was leaked to the press in 2019.
Since then, Meghan has reportedly ignored Thomas’s phone calls and emails, and hasn’t spoken to him or seen him for a long time despite her and Harry's relocation to the States.
Thomas is yet to meet two year old Archie and baby Lilibet, something he is “very concerned about”.

Despite wanting to see and speak to Meghan and the grandkids, he has no plans on going to her home, out of fear he’ll be branded a “stalker”.
Talking about not having met his young grandchildren, Thomas told GMB's Susanna Reid: “I’m very concerned about that. I’d love to see my grandchildren and people have suggested in California that I sue to see them.
“I think if I did that I’d be a hypocrite and doing the same thing that Meghan and Harry are doing. I don’t want to include my grandchildren in this kind of situation. I want to see my grandchildren with friendly parents and friendship all around. I don’t want hostile parents," he continued.
Susanna then asked if lawyers suggested whether suing Meghan and Harry would prove successful, to which Thomas said yes.
He explained: “I’ve been told by several lawyers that grandparents have sued to see their grandchild and won in California.”
Despite this, Thomas insisted that he doesn’t have any intentions of suing his daughter as he doesn’t want Archie and Lilibet to “become pawns in a game”.
Thomas went on to accuse the pair of doing everything “for money”, in particular criticising Harry for his upcoming book, Finding Freedom.
As to when the 77 year old last tried to contact Meghan, he said it was “about a month ago”.
During his time on Good Morning Britain, co-host Richard Madeley said he felt “desperately sorry” for Thomas, and described it as “fairly brutal” that Meghan has completely cut him out of her life.
