“She doesn’t get why he felt the need to reignite any feud and make hurtful comments. She thought it was in the past.”

It comes after Curtis is said to have made the digs as he took part in another TV show, after appearing on Celebs Go Dating in an attempt to move on from his failed romance with Maura, which sees him train as a stand up comic.

In a new Channel 4 show, Stand Up And Deliver, he is joined by a number of celebs including Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn and Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder to try out comedy.

As he filmed his set, Curtis was seen discussing his experience in the Love Island villa at length and seemingly slating Maura.

According to The Sun, he talks about his time working in a kennel, and says during his comedy set: “Looking back now it reminds me of Love Island.

“When the dogs are in season they go crazy, there was b**ches running around left, right and centre.

“They were trying to ride each other non-stop, it was wild,” he continued.

Making a more personal dig towards Irish beauty Maura, he likened the contestants of the shows to second hand cars.

He continued:”You've got all these different shapes and sizes in front of you, take it for a spin, take it for a test drive and if you don't like it, you send it back.”

Curtis also opened up on his tipple of choice during the set, telling punters he likes a smooth whisky, because it's “trusting, the flavour will never cheat on you…unlike my ex girlfriend.”

Maura and Curtis, who recently landed his first acting role in Hollyoaks with brother AJ, split in March last year.

Curtis’ recent digs aren’t the only time he’s hit out at his ex lover as he previously said he felt betrayed by Maura and Chris for their romance.

He previously told The Sun Online: “I feel betrayed by them both — two people I was very close to.

“When I saw the pictures, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel hurt. I was upset. How long has this truly been going on for?”
