Jamie Redknapp took to Instagram yesterday to share the news with his 1.4 million followers that his wife, Swedish model Frida Redknapp, had given birth to their first child together. Louise Redknapp has yet to post on social media since the announcement, but an inside source recently claimed that her sons are keen for her to get back out there so that she can be filled with the same happiness.
Jamie, 48, posted a picture of himself beaming away with his one-day-old son on social media yesterday.
He captioned the post: “Meet Raphael Anders Redknapp, we’re so in love, mum is doing so well too.”
Jamie continued: “We can’t thank the amazing doctors and nurses at the Chelsea and Westminster enough. So excited for him to meet my boys.”
The ex-Liverpool footballer married his pregnant girlfriend Frida, 38, at Chelsea Registry Office in London just one month before she gave birth to their son.
The sports star was previously married to former Eternal singer Louise between 1998 and 2017 and the couple share two sons: Charley, 16, and Beau, 12.
An insider previously told OK! that while Jamie has moved on, Louise’s confidence has been shaken.
They said: “Louise would like to find someone, but it hasn’t been that easy.
“She’s got to learn to love herself before loving someone else again. Her confidence has been knocked.
“Even though she and Jamie have been parted for a few years now, she spent the majority of her life with him and the two kids, so it is a big change.
“You always find someone when you’re least expecting it, and that’s where she’s at. If it happens it happens.”
The source went on to explain that Louise’s sons want their mum to find new happiness now that Jamie has moved on.
They said: “They want to see her happy because they can see how happy remarrying has made their dad.

“Now they want their mum to find someone.”
While Louise, 47, admitted in her book, You’ve Got This: And Other Things I Wish I Had Known, that she wished she had tried harder to save her marriage, she appears to be in a better place now.
The mother-of-two has spoken candidly about her dating life in a previous interview with The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine.
Speaking about her sons, she explained: “Oh yeah, they always say: ‘When are you going to [date]?’ Dating just takes time,” she revealed.
“It sounds basic, but I’ve got two things that are really important to me right now: my kids, because I want to be a solid part of their life, and my work.
“Right now, that’s enough for me, I’m not saying forever. I’m learning to just be OK with myself. I’m not loving myself, but I’ve been OK. I’m getting there,” she concluded.
News that the stunning performer struggles with confidence might come as a surprise to some, as Louise was once a ’90s and early noughties sex symbol, even going on to win FHM’s title of Sexiest Woman of the Decade in 2004.
Louise is currently performing in the UK tour of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical in the role of Violet Newstead.
