Singing sensation Louise Redknapp’s emotions were dealt a major blow when she split from her footballer husband back in 2017, after almost 20 years of marriage.

Nevertheless, sources have claimed that she still felt hurt to learn Jamie had moved on and that she reportedly felt “blindsided” by the news he was expecting a baby with his now-wife, Swedish model Frida.

In the aftermath of her separation from Jamie, she admitted to You Magazine she had even felt “suicidal”.

Yet today, she is putting on a brave face and resurfacing on social media – and fans were treated to visuals of her modelling a khaki green hooded coat for a paid promotion with Peacocks.

“It’s definitely coat weather,” the 47-year-old quipped in an Instagram story in view of her 725,000 followers.

However, just 24 hours earlier, her ex had posted a rather less glamorous photo of himself cradling his newborn son while clad in a grey tracksuit.

It was simply captioned: “Meet Raphael Anders Redknapp, we’re so in love.”

He reassured his 1.4 million followers on the site that “mum is doing so well too”, before sharing his excitement at the prospect of his new baby meeting his other sons.

“We can’t thank the amazing doctors and nurses at the Chelsea and Westminster [hospital] enough,” he added.

While Jamie became a successful TV presenter and household name following his retirement from football, Louise withdrew from the showbiz circuit altogether to focus on becoming a wife and mother, and eventually grew to regret it.

When she joined Strictly Coming Dancing in 2016 and was partnered with Kevin Clifton, she regarded the show as her “saviour”.

However, as they sailed their way through to the final, Louise had recalled husband Jamie becoming “angrier and angrier” with distasteful jokes his dad Harry Redknapp made about the so-called “Strictly curse” in an interview with The Mirror.

The show’s “curse” sees couples ending relationships and getting together with their dance partners during or after the show.

Eventually the couple separated, with Louise confessing in her best-selling autobiography, You’ve Got This: And Other Things I Wish I Had Known, that if she had taken part in the show four years earlier, she “wouldn’t have walked away from my marriage”.

“[It] simply wasn’t worth putting anyone I loved or love through the heartache,” the emotional songstress had written.

Now that Jamie has a new baby, the pair’s sons are keen for Louise to make the same transition.

“[They] always say, ‘When are you going to [date]?'” she revealed recently to Fabulous magazine.
