Joining her mom Kris Jenner, the SKIMS founder takes to her Instagram account to share an adoring message to celebrate her grandmother Mary Jo ‘MJ’ Campbell’s 89th birthday.
AceShowbiz –Kim Kardashian is celebrating her grandmother Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell’s new milestone. On Thursday, July 27, the SKIMS founder took to her Instagram account to share an adoring message on MJ’s 89th birthday.
Alongside a picture of them together, “The Kardashians” star admitted in a post that her birthday shout-out might be a little late. “Happy 89th birthday to my beautiful grandmother, MJ! I know your birthday was yesterday, but I was busy celebrating you and living in the moment, but I wanted to take a minute to let the world know how truly special you are,” so she wrote in the caption.
The 42-year-old went on to call MJ “the foundation of our family and a true pillar of strength.” She further raved, “A two time cancer survivor and the best role model a girl could ask for. I love spending time with you and taking in all of your knowledge. It’s crazy to see how we are so much alike and how you really started it all.”
Concluding her heartfelt message, the reality TV star penned, “I’m so lucky to have you here to see all of your grand kids and great grand babies grow up! I love you so much grandma and would do anything for you…I know you know all of this but wanted to tell you again.”
Additionally, Kim posted a series of videos and photos on Instagram Stories. One of them saw MJ joking that she hoped she’d make it to 90 before blowing out her birthday candles. Khloe Kardashian then could be heard saying off-camera, “Girl, you’re going to make it to a 189!” MJ, however, said that she wished to make it to a 102. Kylie Jenner added in the background, “Cute!”
In another post, MJ revealed what she wished for her birthday. She told Kim that she wanted “to do this again,” adding, “I’m so glad to have us all here.” Kris Jenner, meanwhile, hoped her mother would be “here for another 89, because we’ve had such amazing memories.”
Kris also gushed over her mom in her own birthday tribute. “Happy happy 89th Birthday to my beautiful mom M.J.!!!!!” the momager wrote alongside a slew of throwback photos of the senior Kardashian-Jenner matriarch over the years. “You are such an amazing mother and have given us the most spectacular childhood and upbringing I could have ever imagined. I can’t believe how quickly time passes in a flash but I cherish every single precious memory we have made.”
The 67-year-old socialite continued, “Thank you for all the sacrifices, the lessons learned, the teachings, the kindness, compassion, understanding, dedication, drive, focus, humor, fashion, work ethic, and especially the way you taught me how to make memories, make a home, build a family, and be humble and thankful for all of our blessings. I cherish you mom and appreciate you every single day. You are one of one and I love you beyond measure.”
