Bill Murray jokes on Jimmy Kimmel that original Ghostbusters actors shoplifted while filming
Bill Murray suffered tragedy when the actor’s ex-wife Jennifer Butler died of cancer and months later Kelis’ family faced a similar fate when her husband Mike Mora sadly died from cancer.
The Hollywood superstar, 72, has reportedly struck up a romance with the Milkshake singer, 43, – who is almost 30 years his junior.
The Ghostbusters actor watched the mum of three perform from the side of the stage in London earlier this month – having also been spotted at her other recent shows.
Sources say the pair were also together at the same hotel, and have been “getting close for a while” after first meeting in their native US.
Bill’s ex-wife Jennifer filed for divorce in 2008, but the pair are understood to have remained in touch before her death in 2021.
She was 54 when she died after a battle with cancer.
Meanwhile, Kelis’ second husband, Mike, died in March 2022 after a battle with stomach cancer at the age of 37.
The singer shares two children with her late husband, as well as a son with ex-husband Nas.
While neither Kelis nor Bill have confirmed the rumours, the actor is said to be “besotted” with the New York-born singer.

“Her lifestyle is set in stone,” a source told RadarOnline. “She travels a lot, then kicks back on the farm with her kids and her livestock.”
They added: “Bill’s totally besotted. He follows her everywhere and lays it on thick. His friends think this is grief acting out.”
“Bill was stunned when Jennifer suddenly died,” the source explained. “They had been divorced since 2008 but they were still in each other’s lives because of their four sons.”
Express.co.uk has reached out to representatives for Bill and Kelis for comment.
Meanwhile, the singer recently responded to speculation about a budding romance between the pair.
But Kelis has made it clear she will not be stoking the flames further in her reply to a fan who commented on her latest Instagram post.
The fan wrote: “Ma’am would you care to address these Bill Murray allegations?!? Cuz damn [sic]! What he doing with all that?”
Kelis wrote in response: “Lol [sic] no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all.”
