Kate Garraway has praised her pal Ben Shephard for his "phenomenal" support during her husband Derek Draper's health battle.
The 53 year old, who was recently spotted wearing a stylish black and white coat, explained how her Good Morning Britain co-host has been doing everything he can to help her and her children Darcey, 14, and 11 year old Billy throughout this difficult period.

Kate, whose husband's condition reportedly "eats her alive" as he remains in hospital, went on to acknowledge just how tough it has been for 45 year old Ben.
She said: “Working alongside somebody you’re worried about, plus also trying to do the job… it’s a huge thing.
"I’m aware how tough it’s been for him.”
It comes as Kate recently confessed she feels "physically sick" at the prospect of celebrating her first Christmas without her other half.

Referring to her co-star and pal Lorraine Kelly, 60, after she demanded the government to cancel Christmas, Kate said on GMB: "We saw Lorraine yesterday on the show saying, 'It's such a muddle, will somebody make a decision?' and I think part of the problem is people are trying to arm themselves with information to stay safe."
Kate continued: "I'm very conflicted about Christmas, I've got to be honest with you.
"I feel physically sick actually and I can sort of feel my chest tightening up at the thought of it, in a total panic about the idea of Darcey, Billy and myself on our own at Christmas, unable to visit Derek because of potentially restrictions and that huge emotional hole. I don't know how to fill it."

It's not all doom and gloom however as Derek recently said his first word since being admitted to hospital with coronavirus earlier this year.
Kate explained that the 53 year old also had his tracheotomy tube removed and he is able to breathe without a ventilator.
She told The Sun that the father of her children mouthed the word "pain" twice as doctors moved his body to prevent him from seizing up.

She explained: "It’s a case of trying to balance belief, hope, optimism with reality. But we have had a breakthrough which was both amazing yet heartbreaking.
“It happened when the nurses were moving Derek, as part of his treatment, to trigger the sensation of gravity because he's been horizontal for so long. Right from the beginning, when Derek couldn’t even open his eyes, the doctors and nurses have always talked to him to be respectful, and to try to trigger a response.
“As they were shifting him, they asked if he could feel anything – not expecting a response as he hadn’t previously. But suddenly he mouthed in a whisper, ‘Pain’."
