Kate Garraway has revealed she has finally brought herself to pack up her husband Derek Draper's office, after putting it off.
Good Morning Britain star Kate, 54, admitted she has been delaying the emotional goodbye to his work space after he was hospitalised with coronavirus last year.
Kate's husband Derek, 54, is still battling with a number of health complications after Covid-19 caused multiple organ failure – making him one of the worst effected survivors of the virus.
Derek had worked as a psychotherapist before he was hospitalised in March last year, he then remained in hospital in an induced coma until he was brought back home earlier this year.
As Derek continued to fight the impact Covid-19 had on his body, Kate kept up the rent on Derek's office as she found it too emotional to pack it up, despite him being unable to return anytime soon.
But now, Kate has revealed that "fate" has got involved and forced the TV and radio star to face packing up Derek's office.
Kate, who recently opened up on Christmas plans, shared the news as she posted a photo of herself carrying a full tote bag and smiling with a removal man, who is holding a cardboard box.
Behind the pair stands a small cabinet and a removal van is parked on the road, too.
As the GMB star share the image with her 1million followers, she opened up about the emotional change in the caption.
Kate, who is set to replace Piers Morgan on Life Stories, wrote: "So… one of things have been tackling is packing up Derek’s therapy rooms & office.
"Had been dragging my feet because I knew it would be so emotional & because didn’t want to seem to be giving up hope of him returning to the work he loves one day.
"Then the building was put up for sale and we had to clear out – fate !"

She continued to then praise the removal company who helped her pack up Derek's work things as she wrote: "Next problem was the huge task of packing up all his files, his cuttings, books and furniture he’s treasured for decades.
"Step forward the team from @davisandmac – this is not an ad just a hearty recommendation of a great team of lads who worked damn hard and were so sensitive to the situation .
"Thanks a million chaps – will be definitely calling you when Derek is setting up his new venture!"
It comes after Kate heartbreakingly admitted she's scared to cry about Derek as she's not ready to "open the floodgates".
She recently told Stella magazine: "I mean I still haven't really cried. So I don't feel in the right place to see a therapist yet."
