Dame Joan Collins, 88, defied her years as she flaunted her toned frame in the timeless black gown, with a sparkling crystal-studded overlay and a heavily embellished neckline. The gown exuded old Hollywood vibes with capped sleeves adorned with pearls and was paired with velvet gloves as she attended the Harper’s Bazaar Women of The Year Awards 2021.
She added height to her look with peep-toe heels and accessorised with chandelier-style earrings.
Her tresses were pulled into a chic updo and she sported smoky eye make-up and rose lipstick.
Joan’s dapperly dressed husband, Percy, wore a sharply tailored suit as he embraced his long-time love.
It comes as the Dynasty star revealed her affair began with her now-husband after he mistakenly brought her mascara instead of eyeliner while she was starring in a play.
The endearing act proved to the Dynasty actress that the handsome producer was not “gay” and prompted her to ditch the man she was seeing at the time.
Speaking on how their romance began in her upcoming memoir, Joan shared how she was starring in a play for a company Percy managed and she ran out of eyeliner.
So Percy offered to go and fetch some but instead came back with mascara. Joan said: “So you are not gay, then?” and he replied: “I’m afraid not.”
Percy is best known for producing the films The Time of Our Lives, Banksy’s Coming to Dinner, and the TV show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
The couple married in February of 2002 at Claridge’s Hotel in London.
This was Joan’s fifth marriage and Percy’s second, as he was previously married to Cynthia Bauer for over a decade.
During an appearance on Good Morning Britain in 2020, the veteran actress was asked if she would have met her now-husband when she was in her 30s, to which she replied “He wasn’t born!” referencing the 31-year age difference between the pair.
The star joked: “As you know, [Percy] is somewhat younger than me. At first, people would always say, ‘What are you going to do about the age difference?’ I’d say, ‘Well if he dies he dies!'”

On their 17th wedding anniversary, Joan posted a tribute to her husband on social media to commemorate the day, writing: “Celebrating 17 wonderful fun-filled happy years today! #happyanniversary and #congratulations to my #hubby!.”
The couple does not have any children together, however, Percy is step-father to the movie star’s children, Tara Newley Arkle, Alexander Newley, and Katyana Kass.
The acclaimed author admitted she hadn’t been so lucky in her own marriages previously.
Joan has tied the knot five times and she labelled some of her exes as “pathetic gold-diggers”.
She penned in a column for the Daily Mail back in 2008 amid Madonna’s divorce from Guy Ritchie: “I despise men who think they deserve money from a woman.
“The material gal did not marry a material guy – lucky for her – and he’s showing a great example to other men who greedily demand money and property from their wealthier exes.
“After all, who should know better about this than me?
“I have been caught in the ‘gimme-the-money’ trap with ex-husbands and boyfriends more times than I care to remember.”
Joan continued: “I’ve thought that the men in question were pathetic gold-diggers because I was brought up to believe that men should take care of their women – although those ideals are quite old-fashioned by today’s standards.”
