David Beckham wears all-white suit for James Corden sketch
David Beckham had appeared as a special guest on the Late Late Show back in 2020 and he and James Corden had channelled Miami Vice star James “Sonny” Crockett – also known as actor Don Johnson.
Reminding his pal of the moment, he shared a photo of the pair donning blonde wigs and white suits with his 82.5 million Instagram followers.
“Happy birthday mate,” he captioned it simply on his stories, giving fans a glimpse into the lifestyle they were role-playing with the picture of them standing in front of a sleek vintage car.
Their nod to the 1980s crime drama took place just before former footie legend David’s team Inter Miami first entered the sporting world.
Another skit on the same show hilariously featured David’s wife Victoria’s iconic Spice Girls song Wannabe.

James, who turns 45 today (August 22), first met David way back in 2010 when they were filming a sketch for a Sports Relief fundraiser.
Since then, they have performed multiple Late Late Show skits together, to the pleasure of the viewing public, and are believed to have remained firm friends.
Back in April, when the final episode of James’ show aired in the USA before he returned to Britain, David was among those who took to Instagram to celebrate his stint on the show.
The 47-year-old captioned a series of throwback snaps featuring the pair, with the words “Welcome home”, and confessed he’d “always loved appearing on” his show.

James was in tears on TV as he prepared to sign off for the very last time following a mammoth 1200 episodes.
Although he did receive some criticism in the press, particularly over a restaurant row which caused him to be temporarily banned from NYC’s Balthazar, he had built up quite a following stateside.
That was demonstrated by the standing ovation he received during the piano number he performed on his last show.
“And part of me thinks why not stay here forever?” he’d exclaimed, before adding: “But deep in my heart, I just know. No more shows to be showing.
It’s time I was going. It’s time. Thanks for watching, that’s our show!”
Over the years, he built up a roster of celebrity pals and acquaintances, famously interviewing Prince Harry on a bus after his USA move with Meghan Markle.
However, he has since returned to the UK – and on Monday, he was in hot water after he parked his bike right in front of Mayfair restaurant in London.
He reportedly received a stern word from the doorman, who lifted up his bike for him before he hastily intervened and cycled off to an alternative parking spot.
In other transport woes, James previously fell off his bike after another cyclist “darted across the road and sent him flying”, according to The Sun.
