Holly Willoughby sent her son Chester a happy birthday message during today's This Morning as he turns seven years old.

During their regular 'Spin to Win' slot where hosts Holly and Phillip Schofield ring members of the public to win a cash prize, Holly took a second when the phone was ringing to give her son a shout out.

As she was dancing to the music she said: "Happy birthday Chester, it's his birthday today."

Phillip then asked if he was seven and Holly confirmed by saying: "Seven today."

Holly hasn't yet posted any birthday tributes on her social media but she usually keeps her personal life private.

She looked stunning during today's show as she wore a midi dress covered with pink and red hearts from Nobody's Child paired with black court shoes and her iconic blonde wavy bob.

However, today's show brought some controversy as fans complained that they were talking about advent calendars in September.

The segment featured beauty expert Sarah Jossel as she presented which beauty advent calendars would be available to the public in the coming months.

She stood in front of a Christmas tree which – wasn't popular with fans.

Phillip also commented on the fact that it's only September but Holly seemed to be loving the festive theme.

Sarah asked the hosts: "How do we feel? The Christmas tree is up," and the hosts had differing opinions.

Holly replied: "Really happy," which caused Sarah to respond: "Me too secretly! It might seem like a long time but the best beauty calendars are available now or coming soon."

But Phillip didn't agree and said: "It's not even October yet!"

Viewers took to Twitter to talk about the segment as one said: "Advent calendars in September? No. Christmas gets earlier and earlier every year and it gets annoying."

Another tweeted: "Advent Calendars on @thismorning!… so much for Christmas being in danger of being cancelled! I mean, who needs a turkey so long as you've got your pricy advent calendar!"

A third fan said: "They're on about advent calendars on #ThisMorning already. We're still in September."

Holly launched her own wellness brand last week called Wylde Moon.

She described the project as a place where she will “curate, create and share” the things she loves.

Holly said the site “stands as a measure of where I am in life right now” after she discovered alternative therapies while in Australia filming I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
