Music sensation Billie Eilish’s debut album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go,” launched the 19-year-old singer to international fame. The record resulted in Eilish snagging all four big Grammy awards at the 2020 ceremony and becoming the youngest person to ever win album of the year (via Vogue). Hoping to continue her success, Eilish recently released her sophomore album, “Happier Than Ever.” After over a year of begging for new music, fans were delighted to receive the album on July 30, 2021 (via Independent). The 16-track record performed very well with critics and showcases a much more vulnerable side of the Los Angeles native.
Aside from releasing music videos for her new songs “Happier Than Ever,” “Lost cause,” “NDA,” and “Your Power,” the singer/songwriter has partnered with Disney+ to release a special concert film. Here’s how to watch Eilish’s highly anticipated, “Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles.”
Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles is almost here
Billie Eilish’s upcoming concert film, “Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles,” is slated to premiere on the streaming platform Disney+ on September 3, 2021 (via Business Insider). Eilish will perform her entire sophomore album at the Hollywood Bowl, where the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus will make special appearances. Robert Rodriguez and Patrick Osborne will direct the film, which will mix the singer’s performance with animation. “Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles” is set to pay homage to Eilish’s hometown and will showcase her unrivaled performing skills. Eilish described the film in the trailer (via YouTube) saying, “It’s a concert film but it’s also a story at the same time. This kind of beautiful version of old Hollywood and the Hollywood bowl, it’s very timeless.”
While the concert will only be available on the streaming service, it luckily will be available to subscribers at no additional cost. If you don’t currently have a Disney+ account or access to a friend’s username and password, the service offers a monthly subscription for $8 a month or $80 a year. Aside from offering footage of Eilish performing her heart out, Disney+ also houses Beyonce’s “Black is King” and Taylor Swift’s “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions,” so there is music for everyone to enjoy.
