The mystery illness has so far stumped doctors so Matt will undergo a number of tests over the weekend.
The soap actor posted a number of stories to his Instagram page to detail his journey, including images of him injected with various needles.
Earlier this week, Matt was told the alarming news he needed to go straight into hospital.
“What a time to be told you have to go to A&E FFS,” Matt told his followers.
Hours later, the star shared an image of his arm with a cannula in and the caption: “Looks like they’re keeping me in.”
Having told fans he was “urgently referred” for treatment, Matt later explained: “Thank you all for your support and msg means loads! I’m back home now with further test tomorrow and Saturday.
“Basically, I have something wrong with my liver and it needs looking into,” he continued.
