Former EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas has been admitted to hospital with problems of the liver.

The mystery illness has so far stumped doctors so Matt will undergo a number of tests over the weekend.

The soap actor posted a number of stories to his Instagram page to detail his journey, including images of him injected with various needles.

Earlier this week, Matt was told the alarming news he needed to go straight into hospital.

“What a time to be told you have to go to A&E FFS,” Matt told his followers.

Hours later, the star shared an image of his arm with a cannula in and the caption: “Looks like they’re keeping me in.”

Having told fans he was “urgently referred” for treatment, Matt later explained: “Thank you all for your support and msg means loads! I’m back home now with further test tomorrow and Saturday.

“Basically, I have something wrong with my liver and it needs looking into,” he continued.

The actor was sent home, but warned he needed to come in for yet more tests over the weekend.

Matt also shared a number of videos of the hospital in the early morning as he wandered the halls.

The actor starred in the BBC soap as Alfie Moon’s relative Anthony Moon in 2011, but was unfortunately written out after only a year on Albert Square.

He then achieved success in reality TV with a talented place in Dancing On Ice in 2013.

The 32 year old did incredibly well with professional skater Brianne Delcourt as his partner, eventually ending up as a runner-up.

Most recently, the star decided to take a step back from his acting career and became a builder instead, setting up his own firm Brightside Builders.
