Evan Peters:Evan Peters was a bit out of sorts today. He seemed a bit winded, as he started to fall a few times on his kickoffs and also struggled a bit in coverage, although he did make three tackles. He also played like he was trying hard to make this team, which is great to see in a guy that is trying their best. While he did not record a tackle, his main contribution today came in the form of tackling. As we have seen plenty of throughout training camp, Peters is often criticized for his tackling ability, and rightfully so However, a couple of his tackles today were spectacular. This first one is an absolute beauty of a tackle, and I think it should be on highlight reel. First off, you can see he is in good position. This means he has a great view of the ball and he is ready to make the tackle. Then just look at how he ends up delivering the ball in the air. The ball has already been dropped, however Peters continues to make the tackle. You can see what a freak this guy really is in this play. In case you are wondering, this is definitely not the first time I have seen a player like this. I do have to say, however, that he is definitely missing a step at 24. I know he has been doing the same drills every day, but it is obvious he needs more practice and I have to wonder if he is.
