Detailing the accident to MailOnline and other press, Siva said: ‘Friday just passed, I had a serious fall. I hit the back of my head. So I’ve been diagnosed in a mild concussion as of today.

‘I just want to kind of get back on the ice because it can really shake your confidence especially when you’re if you’ve just cracked your head on the ice.

‘But I expected this just and just trying to stay focused and determined and know this is part of the journey.’

When asked if he received medical attention at the time, Siva shared: ‘Luckily we have a medic beside the rink and we have a physio in the building too.

‘So we had the blood pressure and blood taken and they checked my eyes and it’s all there, I’m we still here so I’m okay!’

The singer told how his worried partner was alarmed at the fall, with Siva adding: ‘I passed out for like two seconds? I was out, gone.

‘I don’t remember it but it’s part of it. A part of this is like you know, falling and getting back up and braving it.’

It comes after Siva previously said on Good Morning Britain that his late bandmate Tom Parker inspired him to take part in the show.

‘I’m looking forward to meeting all the cast. I want to learn how to skate and make my family proud of me and put on a show for everyone to see and hopefully not make a fool of myself!’ he said at the time.

He added: ‘To be honest, I’m just living day by day. But mostly, I look back and smile. He taught me so much about life. He taught me to live life and not be afraid. That’s one of the reasons I’m doing the show.

‘He was 33. I just chatted to [his widow] Kelsey yesterday. She’s doing well, just keeping her chin up and just taking it day by day’.
