Dionne Warwick Feels Britneys Pain Amid Conservatorship Woes, Urges Judge to Set Her Free

The ‘I Say a Little Prayer’ singer is heartbroken as she feels Britney Spears’ pain and suffering, urging judge to allow the Southern Belle to regain control of her own life.

AceShowbizDionne Warwick has urged lawmakers to set Britney Spears free after weighing up the pop star’s battle to end the conservatorship, which has been hanging over her for 13 years.

A week after Spears stunned fans and testified in court, urging the judge overseeing her case to give her back her life and end her father’s control, the veteran singer has condemned the “Toxic” star’s “13 years of bondage.”

In a Twitter video posted on Wednesday (30Jun21), the 80 year old said, “My heart goes out to Britney Spears. It really does. I feel her pain. How in the world could anyone endure what she has been enduring?”

Speaking directly to Britney’s fans, Dionne added, “Do you realise the amount of work this young lady puts in to bring you joy? Remembering all of those words to the songs she has to sing, the combination of the dances she has to do, getting up at the crack of dawn to do exercises, getting her body and keeping it in shape to make you feel good? And what is it that we feel she is not able to have that kind of joy and feel good to herself (sic). How fair is that?”

During her day in court a week ago, Spears claimed she was forced to tour in 2018 and then commit to a Las Vegas residency with no break in between. She also alleged her handlers would not let a doctor remove a permanent contraceptive device to allow her to have more children with her boyfriend, Sam Asghari.

She also told the court she was punished for not doing what she was told to do – those behind her conservatorship would threaten to stop her from spending time with her boyfriend or her sons, she claimed.

“Give her back her rights. Give her back her life. Set her free,” Warwick concluded her video message. “Britney, I feel your pain baby. And I totally agree. Enough. It is enough. May God continue to bless and smile upon you, and give you the wherewithal and strength to continue to fight for your freedom.”

Meanwhile, Britney’s father, Jamie, who has been in charge of his daughter’s personal and business affairs since 2008, has filed court documents calling for an investigation into the pop star’s testimony about life under her conservatorship.

His lawyers have requested an evidentiary hearing, stating, “It is critical that the Court confirm whether or not Ms. Spears’ testimony was accurate in order to determine what corrective actions, if any, need to be taken… It is also imperative for the proper functioning of conservatorship proceedings before this Court that all parties be provided a full and fair opportunity to respond to allegations and claims asserted against them.”

“Either the allegations will be shown to be true, in which case corrective action must be taken, or they will be shown to be false, in which case the conservatorship can continue its course.”

Jamie’s attorneys also filed a separate set of documents that challenged some of his daughter’s claims regarding the amount of control their client had in the conservatorship. They insist Spears’ personal conservator, Jodi Montgomery, who has been in charge of Britney’s “day-to-day personal care and medical treatment” since September, 2019 holds the keys to the singer’s life.
