Celine Dion cancels Summer 2023 shows after rare diagnosis
After Celine Dion revealed her Stiff Person Syndrome diagnosis in December last year, her sister Claudette has shared an update on the singer’s health.
Claudette told Canadian site showbizz.net: “I know she went to Denver a couple of times because there are great researchers there and I’m crossing my fingers.
“That’s all we can do. Tell her how much we love her and that we wish her all the best.”
The pop star’s sibling went on to thank Celine’s fans for all of their well-wishes as she continues to recuperate.
She added: “We have had some beautiful messages of love and we try as hard as possible for her to receive them.

“Because I know that morally, mentally, she’s strong. She’s not depressed at all, quite the opposite, she’s full of the joys of life.”
Celine, 55, shared the heartbreaking news of her rare disorder in a statement to her 5.9 million Instagram followers in December.
The My Heart Will Go On songstress said she had been dealing with health problems for a while, and found it difficult to speak about what she’d been experiencing.
She went on to reveal that she’s continuing to learn about her condition, but she now has an answer for what’s been causing her spasms.

She explained that she’s working alongside a great team of doctors and is being supported by her family.
Stiff Person Syndrome is a rare, chronic neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and sometimes intense muscle spasms in the trunk and limbs. This affects posture, balance, and the ability to use certain muscles.
Celine was forced to cancel all of the dates on her Courage world tour and has since been missing from the spotlight.
