Celebrities bar and grill

I thought since the Kirk Green band was playing at Celebritys on Fri. See moreI went to see the Kirk Green Band at Celebritys this past Friday night. Although I was initially looking forward to hearing this band, I cant say that Im a big fan of their music. In fact, they dont really represent anything that Im into and I usually dont go to concerts unless Im going to be going out to dancedrink a lot. On the plus side, I did get a free drink from the bar and I was able to dance for awhile, which is always a bonus when dancing to music, especially if its not your preferred type of music. One of my complaints with the band is that they arent really up front about who they are. They do have a list of their instruments and the name of the band, but nothing else. So much for making everything as simple as possible when you first walk in. Another complaint is that the crowd was pretty much all male. While the band isnt as bad of a crowd as some of the others Ive been to, it still isnt exactly what I would call a hip crowd. It seemed like the majority of these guys were in their twenties or early thirties. Im not saying the crowd in the KGRs last two live shows were younger than average, but the general crowd at their shows Ive been to lately isnt what I would consider hip. I am also not a member of their fan club, as far as I know, that they set up outside. You have to enter a ticket booth in order to gain access to it and since most people werent really paying attention, the ticket booth was a mess and you had to keep walking around and up and down the aisles to grab an access code to get in. So, as much as I want to be into their music, I would have much rather been at a hip place and been in the mood to dance more and have a better time. Im not even sure if I would have gone if I had been paying more attention to them and had been on the look out for a place to dance. Still, I can see how it would really help in their mission of having a better time at their concerts when they attract a crowd that is more hip and up to the task. I do have to say, this place is so much smaller than other places that they play, so its not like they have to play to fill a place. They also get a crowd that comes out even if theyre in the process of playing. Not enough to fill a place, but enough to make.
