Brie Larson is halfway to achieving EGOT status after picking up her first Emmy Award!
The 30-year-old actress just won the award for Outstanding Original Interactive Program for producing The Messy Truth VR Experience with her boyfriend Elijah Allan-Blitz, who also directed the project.
“#TheMessyTruth Won an Emmy! My favorite part of this years Emmys? That we are safe at home. My second favorite part? Being barefoot. And last? #TheMessyTruth won, and so did empathy. Thank you to everyone who voted, we are brimming with excitement,” Brie wrote on Instagram along with a video of her and Elijah‘s acceptance speech.
The award was also shared with fellow producers Van Jones and Jana Carter. The category was announced during Thursday night’s portion of the Creative Arts Emmys.
In her social media speech, Brie said, “We hope that this brings some momentum and life to this project so we can bring this out to the world, so we can equally distribute this technology and this incredible project.”
Brie previously won an Oscar for Best Actress for her work in Room. She now just needs a Grammy and a Tony to achieve EGOT!
