Next youll need to buy some wood. You could do a lot worse than buying 12 pine. You could also go to Home Depot or Lowes to get 34 plywood at a good price. If you dont have a saw, you could probably rip some 34 oak with a machete. Once you have the wood, youll need to cut it into pieces. However, if you have a table saw, then go for it. If not, then youll need to use a band saw and sand paper until its perfect. I used a circular saw with a table that was at least 3 long. Next youll use the bolt, socket, washer and washer set to make a bracket to mount all of the parts. Next, youll need to drill and tap the holes for the bolt, washer and washer. I used a drill press, which worked out great, as I could use it for several projects at the same time. Make sure you use a drill with a bit thats not too big, because youll have to sand down the bolt with 220 grit paper if you want to make it look like wood. Once you have all the holes, youll need to attach the hardware. First youll need to clamp the bolt in place. You could use a vise as well, but as I mentioned before this project will be made with wood so it shouldnt be too heavy and the vise isnt necessary. That said, I had to clamp it down with some 34 wood screws before I was done, so it would have worked just as fine without it. Next, youll want to secure the washer to the bolt. You could use a nut, but I liked the look better that way.
