Amanda Owen on taking ‘a little bit of time for yourself’
Amanda Owen, who attracted a legion of fans as she chronicled her rural family life on Our Yorkshire Farm, has been accused by the wife of businessman Robert Davies, 71, of living a “double life” as she found a love note from Amanda last year.
Yasumi Davies claims to have discovered the note inside a paper bag while cleaning Robert’s car last March which read: “Robert, life is too short and happiness is too rare. I love you.”
The shepherdess, who shares nine children with her estranged husband Clive Owen, announced the couple’s split in June.
The star has come under fire for failing to keep her followers up to date on major developments in her personal life – as she’s gone silent on social media.
Amanda was accused of living a “TV lie” by the heartbroken wife of her new lover, who wept: “I’ve lost everything.”
Amanda’s most recent Instagram post includes a gallery of her nine children playing outside on the farm.
She wrote: “Budding naturalists, botanists, ecologists, ornithologists, hydrologists, geologists. And farmers. #yorkshire #countryside #outdoors #nature #farm #learning.”
The post was shared with her 536,000 followers on Instagram and her 208,000 followers on Twitter.
One social media user said: “Unfollowing as of now.”

Another commented: “Ruined the reputation of your family.”
Others appreciated the update, and a third added: “Great to see your girls learning about these important things.”
Before finding the note, Yasumi revealed that she had “no suspicions” about the pair as Robert had been working with Amanda on her farming website since 2018, claiming that because Ravenseat Farm was so remote he would often stay there overnight when they had meetings.
After finding the note, Yasumi confronted Robert, who she had been married to since 2011, and he confessed to the affair, revealing that it had gone on for four years but that he was worried about the impact it would have on Amanda’s public career.
Yasumi told The Sun that he called Amanda in front of his betrayed wife and “told her I knew about their affair and that it was over”.
She blasted the Yorkshire Shepherdess claiming: “She’s been lying to the British public and living a double life.
“I liked my peaceful life with my lovely husband, living together, but now I’ve lost everything because of her.”
Since Amanda’s split from Clive, she and Robert have been pictured together at events and are said to be “inseparable”.
Express.co.uk has contacted Amanda Owen’s representatives for comment.
