Experience Movies Like Never Before The DMP-BD65 employs the PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus. Developed in collaboration with Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory, this high image processing technology reproduces clear, vivid colors that are faithful to the original film.

Panasonic's Blu-ray Disc players employ high precision 4:4:4 signal technology, which working in tandem with PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the horizontal direction to compliment vertical direction processing. P4HD (Pixel Precision Progressive Processing for HD) is another technology that contributes to the superior picture quality of the Blu-ray players. P4HD processes more than 15 billion pixels per second and applies the optimal processing to every pixel.

Panasonic's Blu-ray Disc players further utilize 16-level motion detection to categorize the image motion of each pixel into one of 16 levels; diagonal processing to detect diagonals and correct the pixels accordingly; 1080p up-conversion to up-convert content recorded in the 480i/p or 720p format to 1080p.

This Blu-ray Disc player also provides 1080/24p output, reproducing cinema images from a Blu-ray Disc and DVD in their original 24p form with no need for conversion--enabling you to enjoy cinema images in the same format used in cinema with a 1080/24p-compatible TV.

Complimenting the HD audio codecs, the BD65 Blu-ray Disc player features 96kHz surround re-master, a function that enhances the sound quality of CDs and other sources, and even improves the quality of the multi-channel audio data on Blu-ray Discs and DVDs.

D. Scatena Said: Excellent Sep. 9th 2010

Its more than worth the toll just for playing Netflix on demand on your TV. The moving calibre is superior especially for the titles in HD state I hit it connected up with Cat5 and Verizon FIOS assist to the home, your mileage haw vary The other functions same Blu-ray and Pandora are meet icing on the cake. The exclusive warning is my FIOS service cant seem to appendage streaming Netflix and Halo being played online simultaneusly, so the Netflix assist starts getting interrupted. In that situation Netflix trys to lower the recording quality/bit-rate, but it doesnt seem to impact so well.

Enjaume Said: Warning - needs LAN adaptor Sep. 8th 2010

Saw this BD655 at Costco for 115 and thought I had a great deal. Rushed bag and set it up exclusive to encounter that I necessary a 100 LAN Network Adaptor to use Netflix etc.etc.
Nowhere on the box could I wager some warning most the player change needed to do what it crapper move CAN do. I returned it one distance later, of course.

Player would never intend time the setp screen. Its arduous to evaluate an component that doesn't work. Thanks to Amazons great return policy, I dispatched it back and instead sequential the Samsng 550 which so farther is employed flawlessly. I odered the Panasonic because my 56 progress tv is Panasonic also.

Paddy Said: Intermittent network - seems like bad code - Aug 2010 Sep. 8th 2010

Boot up to home screen was average. The menus were OK, but not illogical or well arranged. The care breaker was that the menus some times would stutter or completely hang up, and the player would exclusive connect to my bag meshwork wired intermittently. Trying to study by using the Easy Setup would sometimes change at obtaining IP address, and sometimes at finding the gateway.

Picture quality was good, and upscaled DVDs looked great. I never got as far as attempting to play a Blu Ray disc.

Sound was good, I utilised the material connection. I have an senior Sony earpiece that decoded the signal with no problems.

We did ingest it for Netflix, which was a great undergo the eld of the time, but it did stop today and then to switch from HD calibre to normal, or just to re-buffer. Do not know if this was due to the above network supply or meet Netflix traffic congestion. I am on a cable connection that supports the needed pace for HD streaming.

I did update the firmware as presently as I connected the first time. These issues were most belike meet due to a intense rev of the firmware, but mayhap bad network hardware. I did not hit the instance to troubleshoot through school support, or wait for the difficulty to be resolute with another increase if that is what the supply was so I returned the player.

I have since purchased a Sony S370, which so farther has exhibited no meshwork problems, but I'll submit a analyse when I have had a quantity to evaluate it more thoroughly.

Truthpeeler Said: Returning Unit Sep. 6th 2010

I ordered this refurbished Blu-Ray player from Good As New Electronics, and received it August 20. Not trusty what was refurbished, but for trusty it wasn't the ethernet port as it unsuccessful to enter to my router with the cable, a CAT6, which was double-checked and proven fine. Panasonic Support said to beam it backwards for replacement so I'm feat for it, although shipping and shelter on the convey is on me. I'm sure I'll provide it 5 Stars if everything works.
